Don't despair, look ahead

All is not yet lost

As a guy who has written about the need for health care reform for a half-century (!), I’m as outraged & discouraged as any of you about the Big Cave-In (and yes, I know it’s not black-and-white). But what’s done is done. Now we need to forego the Democratic blame game and focus on the messaging opportunities of the upcoming Kabuki Senate vote on the ACA and the looming January shutdown. (2026 is an election year, I hear). As my favorite fortune cookie (from 1969) put it: All is not yet lost, the operative word being “yet.”
